Captain Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 onion chopped
    1 can cream of celery soup
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 48 oz. can V-8 juice
    1 pkg. mixed vegetables
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown beef with onion, drain.
    Add soups and V-8 juice and bring to boil.
    Add vegetables and cook for 2 hours or longer.
    If using slow cooker, cook on low for 8-10 hours.
    Makes about 3 1/2- 4 quarts.
