Chess Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks oleo
    1 box light brown sugar
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 eggs, one at a time
    2 c. flour, sifted with 1 tsp. baking powder and pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Melt on low heat oleo and brown sugar.
    Remove from heat; put in mixing bowl and beat in (in this order) sugar, eggs (one at a time), flour, vanilla and pecans.
    Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven 40 to 50 minutes or until it tests done.
    Cut into bars while warm and roll in powdered sugar. Keeps well in airtight container.
