Dilly Beans - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 lbs. fresh, whole green beans
1 3/4 tsp. dried, hot pepper
3 1/2 tsp. dill seed or 7 heads of dill
7 garlic cloves, peeled
5 c. vinegar
5 c. water
1/2 cup, less 1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Pack jars with 1/4 tsp. pepper, 1 garlic clove, 1/2 tsp. or 1 head of dill, and green beans.
Heat water, vinegar, and salt to boiling.
Pour over beans.
Seal jars and process in boiling water for 10 minutes (pints or quarts).
Wait 3 weeks to eat.
