Holiday Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. white cake mix
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. lemon or brandy extract
    1/2 c. oil
    1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 lb. pecan halves
    1 1/2 lb. mixed fruit
    8 oz. chopped dates
    1 lb. light raisins
Preparation
    Combine cake mix, 1 egg, water, salt and lemon or brandy extract.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add remaining eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
    Sift flour over fruits and nuts.
    Mix well and stir into batter.
    Spray 2 loaf pans with vegetable cooking spray.
    Fill with batter; press down.
    Bake in very slow oven (275\u00b0) for 2 1/2 or 3 hours or until done.
    (Place shallow pan of hot water on bottom of oven during baking.)
    Cool; remove cake from pans.
    Makes 4 1/2 pounds fruitcake.
