Pilaf With A Difference - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1/2 c. broken thin pasta (like angel hair)
    1 c. bulgur
    1/3 c. chopped fresh basil or 1 Tbsp. dried basil
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts
    1/2 tsp. fresh ground pepper
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1 medium onion
    2 c. chicken stock
    3/4 c. cooked chick peas, drained
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Heat oil and margarine in large saucepan with tight fitting lid.
    Add pasta; cook over low heat, stirring constantly until golden brown.
    Add onion and bulgur.
    Cook 2 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce to low and cover. Simmer 20 minutes.
    Correct seasoning to taste and serve.
    Serves 8 to 10 as a meal and 16 as a side dish.
