Ingredients

2 large eggs or 4 egg yolks
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. milk
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. cooked rice
1/2 c. seedless raisins
Preparation

Mix eggs, sugar and salt.
Add scalded milk; add nutmeg, vanilla, rice and raisins.
Pour into 1-quart buttered casserole; sprinkle with nutmeg.
Set in pan of water (1/2 casserole in water).
Bake 1 hour 10 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Makes 6 servings.
