War Time Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. lard
    2 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. walnuts, chopped
    1/2 lb. raisins
    1/2 lb. candied fruit
    1 tsp. baking soda in a little warm water (1 Tbsp.)
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Boil first 7 ingredients for 5 minutes.
    Let cool.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bake in loaf pan, greased and line bottom with wax paper.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
