Cabbage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 short ribs
    3 medium onions
    1 small head cabbage
    4 medium tomatoes
    6 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    4 tsp. garlic powder
    4 tsp. lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 oz. Heinz tomato ketchup
Preparation
    In large hot pot, sear meat.
    When it is well seared, remove from pot.
    Add cut up onions, cabbage and tomatoes to drippings left in pot and cook until they are soft.
    Put meat back into mixture and add remaining ingredients.
    Simmer on medium flame for 2 1/2 hours.
    Makes 8 servings.
