Sauerkraut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. oleo or butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. water
2/3 c. sauerkraut, rinsed, drained and chopped (if necessary)
Preparation

Cream together oleo or margarine and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder, soda and salt. Add alternately the dry ingredients and water. Add sauerkraut. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until center springs back when lightly touched. Bake in two 8-inch pans or a 13 x 9-inch pan. Frost with your favorite icing.
