Apricot Wafer Dessert - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 1/2 c. dried apricots
    1 1/2 c. vanilla wafers, crushed
    1 c. whipped cream
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. butter, melted
    1 1/2 c. powdered sugar, sifted
Preparation
    Bring 1/2 cup butter and eggs to room temperature.
    Place apricots in medium pan and add water to 1 inch above fruit. Bring to a boil.
    Simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
    Drain. Sieve to make a puree.
    Stir in sugar.
    Set aside.
