Old Fashioned Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef soup bones
    2 qt. cold water
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shredded cabbage
    1/2 c. diced carrots
    1/2 c. diced celery
    2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
    1 large onion
    1 c. chopped potatoes
    1 qt. jar tomatoes
Preparation
    Cover soup bones with water; heat to boiling and then simmer 3 hours.
    Add remaining ingredients and cook 1 hour longer or until vegetables are tender.
    Remove bones and cut any meat from them and add to soup.
