French Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    2 lb. ground beef or pork and beef mixture
    1 can (16 oz.) red kidney beans, drained
    1 can (16 oz.) white Northern beans, drained
    1 can (16 oz.) sliced carrots, drained
    1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes, undrained and broken up
    1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Saute bacon in a large pan until fat starts to cook out. Remove and drain on paper towels.
    Shape ground beef in a large patty.
    Brown for 5 minutes on each side in same pan.
    Pour off drippings, then break meat into chunks.
    Stir beans, carrots and tomatoes into meat.
    Add seasonings.
    Heat to boiling.
    Spoon into a 10-cup baking dish.
    Place bacon on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Makes 8 servings.
