Gingersnaps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening or butter
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. dark molasses
1 egg
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar. Add molasses and egg. Beat well. Add dry ingredients.
Mix well. Cover and chill.
Form in 1-inch balls and roll in sugar.
Cook on greased cookie sheets in a 350\u00b0 oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Makes 4 dozen.
