Bret'S Puffy French Toast(A Saturday Morning Favorite!) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1 c. milk
    1 egg, beaten
    8 slices bread
Preparation
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Blend milk and egg.
    Add to the dry ingredients and beat until smooth.
    Dip bread into batter and fry in fat heated to 375\u00b0 for 4 or 5 minutes.
    Serve with butter and warm syrup.
    Batter may be prepared ahead of time. Serves 4.
