Peach (Jam Or Preserves) Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. peach preserves
    1 tsp. soda
    2 c. plain flour
Preparation
    Sift together soda and plain flour.
    Cream margarine, sugar and egg yolks.
    Add flour and soda mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
    Add preserves and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in 2 layers 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
