Biscuits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/2 c. shortening (or butter)
2/3 c. milk
Preparation

Sift the flour three times to fluff and place in a bowl.
Add the baking powder, salt, sugar and cream of tartar.
Cut in the shortening until the size of lima beans.
Stir in the milk.
Do not handle too much.
Turn onto a bread board, knead gently to finish mixing.
Pat out till 1 inch thick.
Cut 8 biscuits.
Bake at 450\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
