Quick Gumbo Style Beef Sausage Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. cooked smoked sausage, cut into 1/2-inch slices
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes (no salt; undrained)
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut okra
    1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 1/2 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    1 c. rice, cooked (keep hot)
Preparation
    In large saucepan, combine first 6 ingredients.
    Bring to boil; reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer for 6 to 8 minutes, or until okra is tender, stirring occasionally.
    Stir in pepper sauce. Place 1/2 cup rice into 4 individual soup bowls.
    Ladle equal amounts of soup into bowls.
