Date Roll Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates
1 c. nuts
3/4 c. milk
2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cut dates into small pieces.
Bring sugar and milk to a boil. Add dates and continue cooking to 238\u00b0, stirring constantly.
Be careful not to scorch.
Remove from heat and add nuts, salt and vanilla.
Beat until cool enough to handle with hands.
Shape into roll about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in waxed paper and slice when cold.
