Light Custard-Like Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. heavy cream
    2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
    2 tsp. lemon zest
    1 loaf stale French, brioche or challah bread
Preparation
    Trim crust from bread and cut remainder into 2-inch cubes. Beat eggs and sugar in a large bowl until pale yellow, then add next 5 ingredients.
    Add bread cubes and toss, coating well.
    Pour this mixture into a buttered 13 x 9-inch baking dish.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until set, about 30 minutes.
    Transfer baking dish to wire rack and allow to cool slightly.
    Ladle Blueberry-Lemon Sauce over top.
