Yum Yum Cake(Depression Era Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. raisins
2 tsp. shortening
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt

Preparation

Mix all the ingredients.
Boil 4 minutes.
Cool, then add 1 teaspoon soda, dissolved in 1 tablespoon water.
Add 1 1/2 cups flour.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 40 minutes.
