Fudge Icing - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 c. white Karo syrup
    2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate (1 sq. = 3 Tbsp. cocoa plus 1 Tbsp. oil)
    1/2 c. margarine
Preparation
    Stir
    ingredients
    together.
    Cook
    over low heat until chocolate
    and margarine melt.
    Bring to a rapid boil (one you can not stir down).
    Boil exactly 1 minute; set aside to cool. Beat until mixture loses its gloss.
    If stiff, add a few drops of cream.
    If too thin, add sifted
    confectioners sugar.
    This is great poured over warm yellow cake.
    Serve with
    a good cup of coffee.
