Amish Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rolled oats
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 stick oleo
    1 c. white sugar
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats and butter until butter is melted, then add the white sugar, brown sugar, nuts, eggs, vanilla, flour and baking soda.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
