Fruit Pemmican - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. mixed dried fruit, chopped
    1/2 c. honey
    3/4 c. chopped pitted dates
    1/2 c. milk powder
    1/2 c. wheat germ
    1/4 c. soy flour
    1/4 c. bran
    1/2 c. chopped almonds, walnuts and Brazil nuts
    3 Tbsp. oil
    enough apple juice to make a thick batter
    1 c. low-fat granola cereal
    brown sugar
    8 medium-size Golden Delicious apples
    2/3 c. apple cider or apple juice
    2 Tbsp. salad oil
    all-purpose flour
    1 c. pitted prunes
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    About 1 1/2 hours before serving, or early in day, prepare crumble topping.
    In small bowl, with fork, stir together granola, salad oil, 1/4 cup packed brown sugar and 1/4 cup flour until blended; set aside.
