Charleston Grits - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/4 c. boiling water
1/2 c. quick cooking hominy grits
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 stick butter (margarine)
1 roll garlic cheese (this is hard to find, I use American cheese and garlic powder, however much you wish to use)
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Cook grits in boiling water; add salt and margarine.
Add cheese (cheese and garlic) and stir together until cheese melts. Beat egg in milk and add to grits.
Pour into buttered baking dish.
Dash with Tabasco sauce.
Sprinkle with crushed cornflakes. Bake at 400\u00b0 until brown.
