Raisin Nut Cake(From 1975 Edition) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 c. raisins
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1 c. oil
    1 can walnuts
Preparation
    Mix water and raisins and boil a few minutes.
    Take off stove; add baking soda.
    Set aside to cool.
    Mix eggs, sugar, vanilla and flour well.
    Add raisin mixture to this and beat well.
    Add oil and mix well.
    Add walnuts.
    Grease tube pan and bake for 1 hour at 375\u00b0.
