Easy Baked Chicken(Microwave) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (2 1/2 to 3 lb.) broiler-fryer chicken
salt and pepper
1 small onion, quartered
2 stalks celery, sliced thin
2 Tbsp. softened margarine
1/8 tsp. thyme
Preparation

Remove giblets; wash chicken and pat dry.
Sprinkle inside of body cavity with salt and pepper.
Place onion and celery inside chicken.
Tie legs together and tie wings to body.
Place chicken, breast up, on a microwave roasting rack in a 12 x 7 x 2-inch microproof dish.
Spread with softened margarine; sprinkle with thyme.
Cook on High for 15 to 17 minutes, or until done (juices will run clear).
Cover with aluminum foil; let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Makes 4 servings.
