Brattens Clam Chowder - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. onions, finely chopped
    1 c. celery, finely chopped
    2 c. finely diced potatoes
    2 (6 1/2 oz. each) cans minced clams and juice
    3/4 c. butter
    3/4 c. flour
    1 qt. half and half
    2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
Preparation
    Place onions, celery and potatoes in saucepan.
    Drain juice from clams and pour over vegetables.
    Add enough water to barely cover vegetables and simmer, covered, over medium heat, until barely tender.
