Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can sliced peaches
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. sugar (to melt on peaches)
    1 stick oleo
Preparation
    Melt oleo in 8 x 10-inch Pyrex; while melting, combine 1 cup sugar with peaches on stove top.
    Mix all other ingredients together, then pour over peaches.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes.
