Hot Lettuce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. bacon, fried and cut up
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 head lettuce, cut up
    salt to taste
    2 c. milk
    1/4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Place egg and flour in saucepan; mix well and add sugar. Heat; add
    milk, stirring constantly, until thick.
    Add bacon and vinegar; heat thoroughly.
    Pour over lettuce and toss.
    Serve over fried potatoes.
