Scottsdale Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
    2 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
    2 c. sour cream
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken or mushroom soup
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1/4 c. butter
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 c. cornflake crumbs
    1/2 c. butter, melted
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Lightly butter a 7 x 10-inch pan. Combine first 6 ingredients in a large bowl and season with salt and pepper.
    Pour into a baking dish.
    Mix cornflake crumbs and 1/2 cup butter.
    Sprinkle over potatoes.
    Bake about 45 minutes, until browned.
