Kaese Kuchen (Cheese Pie) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 9 inch pie crust unbaked
4 slices bacon
1/4 cup onions chopped
1 1/2 cups milk
3 eggs slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. pepper
pinch nutmeg
2 cups sharp cheese grated (if you use mild cheese, add some salt)
Preparation

Fry bacon until crisp.
Remove from pan and chop.
Discard all but 2 tbsp grease.
Saute onion in this until tender.
Heat milk, add slightly beaten eggs.
Mix with remainder of ingredients.
Pour into pie crust.
Preheat oven to 425.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Turn the temp. down to 350 and continue baking until set and lightly browned on top, about 35- 45 minutes.
