Basic Layer Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. self-rising flour
    4 eggs
    1 c. milk
    vanilla to taste
Preparation
    Cream margarine and sugar.
    Add flour, eggs, vanilla and milk. Beat with mixer until smooth.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until golden brown and done in the middle.
    Makes 3 large layers or 4 medium layers.
