Ham And Broccoli Royale - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. uncooked rice
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen broccoli
    6 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. cracker crumbs
    2 onions, chopped fine (more or less)
    1 1/4 lb. cooked ham, cubed (4 c.)
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced cheese
    3 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 c. milk
Preparation
    Cook rice following label directions; spoon into well-greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
    Cook and drain broccoli; place over rice.
    Melt butter in large frying pan.
    Measure out 2 tablespoons and sprinkle over crumbs in a small bowl.
    Saute onions in remaining butter; stir in flour, salt and pepper.
    Cook until bubbly, stirring constantly.
    Stir in milk; continue to cook and stir until thick.
    Boil 1 minute.
    Stir in ham; heat until bubbly. Pour over layers in pan.
    Place cheese slices over ham layer; sprinkle with buttered crumbs.
    Cover and chill.
    Forty-five minutes before serving, uncover and bake at 350\u00b0 until browned.
