Squash Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 c. thinly sliced squash
    2 c. thinly sliced onions
    4 bell peppers, thinly sliced
    2 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    3 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Combine squash, onions and peppers.
    Sprinkle with salt.
    Let stand 1 hour; drain off liquid.
    Mix in saucepan the remaining ingredients; bring to a hard boil.
    Add squash, onions and peppers. Bring to another boil.
    Fill jars and seal.
    Makes four pints.
