Yeast Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    1/3 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 yeast cake
    1/2 c. warm water
    1 egg
Preparation
    Combine milk, sugar and salt.
    Heat to scalding.
    Dissolve yeast cake in warm water.
    Beat egg.
    Combine all ingredients and pour into flour.
    Make into soft dough; let rise at room temperature until double in size.
    Store in coldest part of refrigerator until ready to be used.
    Shape into rolls and let rise at room temperature until double in size.
    Bake in a hot 400\u00b0 oven until done, about 12 minutes.
