Potatoes Supreme - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large potatoes
    1/2 c. margarine
    2 c. cream (half and half)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 lb. American cheese
    1 c. sour cream
    bacon bits
Preparation
    Boil potatoes.
    Chill several hours.
    Remove potato skins and grate coarsely.
    Heat cream, salt, 1/3 stick margarine and cheese until cheese melts.
    Mix with grated potatoes and bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes.
    Top with sour cream and sprinkle with bacon bits.
    Return to oven for 10 minutes.
    Makes a good size casserole.
