Fried Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    flour
    little salt
    shortening
    dried fruit (apples, peaches, apricot or prunes)
    sugar to taste
Preparation
    Make biscuit dough with plain flour, a little salt and less shortening than usual for biscuits.
    Roll out into circles and add dried fruit, making \"moon\" shaped pies, pressing top of dough to bottom with fork dipped in flour.
