Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 to 8 small yellow squash, cooked and drained
    1 medium onion, chopped
    3/4 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    5 to 6 strips bacon, fried crisp, drained and crumbled
    3 Tbsp. green bell pepper, chopped
    1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 egg, beaten
    5 to 6 Ritz crackers, crumbled
    black pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook squash, onion and pepper until tender and drain.
    (Cook each separately.)
    Layer squash, onion and bell pepper in a greased casserole dish; sprinkle with bacon and grated cheese. Beat egg and milk together and pour over casserole.
    Top with crushed crackers.
    Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 425\u00b0 until bubbly and brown.
