Apple Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can crushed pineapple (with juice)
    1/2 c. plain flour
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter
    4 medium apples (with or without peeling)
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
    1 (12 oz.) Cool Whip
    chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix pineapple, flour, sugar, salt and butter. Cook until thick; set aside to cool. Add apples, cut into bite size pieces. Mix cream cheese with Cool Whip and spread on top. Sprinkle with chopped pecans.
