Plum Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 stick margarine or butter
    2 whole eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix sugar, margarine, salt and eggs together until creamy.
    Add milk and flour alternately with baking powder and soda mixed in the flour.
    Add vanilla last and beat about 200 strokes.
    Grease and flour 9-inch pans.
    Put just 4 tablespoons of batter into 9-inch pans.
    This makes a thin layer of batter over the bottom.
    Put fruit on top until about 1/2-inch from top of pan.
    Pour 2 tablespoons of melted butter over top of fruit; sprinkle 2 or 3 tablespoons sugar over all.
    Top with cinnamon.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Cool 15 minutes and dust with powdered sugar.
    Makes 3 to 4 cakes.
