Chicken Almond Appetizers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/2 c. warm milk
    1 Tbsp. white wine
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. finely chopped cooked chicken
    1 tsp. capers
    2 Tbsp. chopped almonds
    4 slices toast, cut into quarters
    1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, sliced
Preparation
    Melt butter in a skillet.
    Add flour and milk, stirring until smooth and thickened.
    Stir in wine, salt, chicken, capers and almonds.
    Spread on toast; top with cheese and broil until cheese melts.
    Makes 16 canapes.
