Cabbage And Brussels Sprouts - cooking recipe

1 large head red cabbage (about 4 lb.)
salad oil
2 large green onions, chopped
3/4 tsp. caraway seed
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp. sugar
2 (10 oz.) containers Brussels sprouts
2 tsp. soy sauce
Preparation

About 45 minutes before serving:
Discard any tough outer leaves from cabbage.
Reserve a few large leaves from cabbage to line platter later; coarsely slice remaining cabbage.
