7-Up Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

20 oz. sectioned and crushed fresh orange or mandarin orange
20 oz. crushed pineapple
2 boxes orange Jell-O
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 to 2 c. miniature marshmallows
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 (12 oz.) 7-Up
Cool Whip (optional)
Preparation

Cube cream cheese and allow to warm to room temperature. Drain juice from pineapple. Add orange juice to pineapple juice until liquid equals 2 cups.
Heat juice to boiling.
Add Jell-O and cream cheese to hot liquid.
Beat with electric mixer until most of the cream cheese is dissolved.
Add fruit and pecans. Pour in 7-Up and stir lightly. Fold in marshmallows.
Pour mixture into large container and refrigerate until congealed. Top with Cool Whip before serving.
