Vegetable Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. defatted chicken broth
    2 c. water
    2 c. carrots, sliced
    1 large onion, chopped
    4 c. (packed) green cabbage, chopped
    2 large tomatoes (2 c.), chopped or 1 pt. can tomatoes
    2 large white potatoes, cut in chunks
    1 (10 oz.) box frozen baby lima beans
    1 tsp. dried Italian seasoning
    2 bay leaves
    1 tsp. salt or salt substitute
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Bring chicken and water mixture to a boil.
    Add onion, celery and carrots.
    Cook 2 minutes.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
    Discard bay leaves.
