Eggless Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. shortening
1 1/2 c. sour milk or buttermilk

Preparation

Sift all dry ingredients together.
Rub in the shortening as for pies.
Add vanilla.
Add the milk.
Mix thoroughly. Bake at 350\u00b0 about 30 minutes.
