Tomato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs
    2 c. canned tomatoes
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    about 2 c. cracker crumbs
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat eggs, light; add tomatoes, melted shortening, pepper and salt.
    Stir in cracker crumbs to make it stiff enough to drop by tablespoonfuls on a hot griddle or frying pan.
    Brown on both sides.
    Serve hot.
