Chocolate Cake(Over 100 Years Old) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

6 Tbsp. chocolate
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
5 Tbsp. boiling water
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
4 egg yolks
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
2 rounded tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
4 well beaten egg whites

Preparation

Mix first 3 ingredients in a cup or bowl and let stand.
In a large bowl, mix sugar, shortening and egg yolks.
Add chocolate mixture and remaining ingredients.
Pour into greased and floured cake pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until toothpick comes out clean.
