Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. unsifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. brown sugar
    2/3 c. melted shortening
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 to 1 c. chocolate chips
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
    Add brown sugar to shortening and beat well.
    Blend in eggs and vanilla.
    Add flour mixture, a little at a time.
    Mix well.
    Spread into 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Sprinkle top with chips and nuts.
    Bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0. Cool in pan.
    Can be iced.
