Brownstone Front Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. cake flour
    1 c. Crisco
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    3 Tbsp. cocoa
    1/2 c. warm water
    3 eggs
Preparation
    Melt cocoa and soda in warm water.
    Set aside.
    Cream Crisco and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add vanilla.
    Add flour alternately with buttermilk.
    Add cocoa mixture.
    Bake in three greased and floured pans at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
