Hoecake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. plain corn meal
    2 Tbsp. self-rising flour
    enough cold water to make very thin batter
Preparation
    Griddle should be well greased and very hot.
    Pour into 3 tablespoons of batter in griddle.
    Fry until brown on one side. Edges should be lacy.
    Turn, brown on other side.
    Serve hot.
